On September 29, 2025, a traffic incident east of Revelstoke prevented my bus from arriving in Golden. Due to the nature of the incident, the highway was closed for the night. Rider Express sent a bus from Calgary to pick up passengers from Golden and down the line to Calgary. Very impressive.

I returned to Surrey from Salmon Arm, B.C. On September 21,2025. The bus left Salmon Arm 50 minutes late but time was made up travelling and arrived in Surrey approximately 25 minutes late. Trip was pleasant and most of all arrived safely at my destination. I will definitely recommend Rider Express to anyone requiring bus transportation.

I thought the bus was great. OK seats for short people. Wi-Fi good. Charging OK. On time was very acceptable. The first driver didn't know how to release the brakes and she called another driver to figure out how. THat caused the arrival delay. The general service was great. I would do this again

The driver was very competent and polite. He told everyone to limit phone calls and to wear headphones if using a device. Consequently, the trip was mostly very peaceful. He followed the schedule and was pleasant in answering questions. The bus was really comfortable. There are no seat back drop-down tables but that was not a big deal.

I was not very impressed with this service, the wifi on the bus was horrible, I couldn't watch videos or send messages. The seats were very uncomfortable, my tailbone is killing me, we stopped in in either Revelstoke or Kamloops and the driver wouldn't let us get out to stretch our legs or have a quick smoke, then she got on the bus after dealing with the new passengers and we sat there for another 10 minutes. I am very dissatisfied with your service and will probably not use it again in the future, only being allowed to get off and stretch your legs twice on a 12 hour ride is ridiclious.

Brent was great! It took us about 12 hours to get from Kamloops to Vancouver due to road closures (fire, accidents). But he made it as enjoyable as possible! My friend and I very much appreciated being taken care of by Brent. He would share small facts about the surroundings, ensured the brakes were safe, made sure we knew we would get a stop for food. Made the best of an unpleasant situation!

Great drive from Salmon Arm to Vancouver. The driver bypassed the ‘red’ highway section, by going through Aldergrove which was a timesaver and interesting. He drove well, even on some narrow roads. Good job, Larry!

The trip from Salmon Arm to Vancouver airport on August 23 was a very enjoyable experience. We had two different bus drivers. They were both excellent drivers. Our driver, Darrill, from Kamloops to the airport was exceptional in that he took the trouble to return the iPad my husband forgot on the bus to our hotel (Radisson Blue). He noticed the iPad when it fell on the floor and turned around to return it to us. Luckily my husband had mentioned where we were staying. After a very long day driving it was extremely kind of him to make such an effort. You can be proud to have such a conscientious driver! M. Vezzani

The staff were very friendly. The bus drivers announcements were loud enough to hear and went over the bus etiquette everytime new passengers can on. So it was easy for everyone to to follow and respect the rules. The bus was clean, they have trash bags for you to use by your seat, the drink holders were a nice feature, even though a bit shallow and not big enough for some drink containers. The over head bins will fit items that you would fit under the seat on an airplane but not quite under the seat of the bus. There is more leg room than on an airplane but not plane. Large windows to enjoy the awesome views of the mountains and area. The best rest stop is in Golden and the worst is in Kamloops. Bring drinks snacks and a lunch, especially if you are doing a long trip, as the rest stops aren’t long (washroom break, stretch and pick up snacks ( it is cheaper to bring your own snacks and drinks though).

Very efficient service. The bus was full on the Kamloops-Vancouver portion, so was obviously pleasanter during the first part, when I had two seats to myself. My one suggestion is that if a person is 20 mins late at a stop when they have been clearly told the amount of allotted time, they should be left behind!! It put the rest of our tour behind schedule.

The bus ride itself was fine, but the lack of timely communication for a significant delay was unacceptable. I received a notification that the bus would be 30 minutes late at the exact scheduled departure time of 3:10 PM. This left me no choice but to wait on the concrete in the rain for an hour, when I could have comfortably waited indoors at home had the notice been sent sooner. I understand delays happen, but the notification process needs to be improved to be useful for passengers.

Given there was a vehicle accident near Chase BC that closed the highway for hours resulting us in using a (beautiful) detour road through Salmon Valley, the trip to Chilliwack was great. The driver made up for our initially being almost an hour behind schedule, although we didn't manage to stop in Sorrento and Chase. The bus was new, but I missed the cup holders that were replaced with mesh storage pockets (I like them too but I'd have liked both.) Both drivers did a good job. I especially liked the new driver in Kamloops telling the passengers the rules to avoid getting kicked off the bus while en route, including men peeing all over the toilet and floor because they stand up, leaving a mess for female passengers to experience, plus no cigarettes, no drugs, no alcohol, etc.. I thanked him for the rules when we arrived in CH. I also mentioned it would have been nice if he had mentioned people should be using seat belts. He said he has tried but virtually no one uses them. I know this is a problem. I used mine and this resulted in the passenger beside me and the 2 people in front of us using theirs. I mentioned about how important using seat belts are when I traveled with you from Chilliwack to Kamloops 10 days ago. I plan to continue to use Rider Express . Thank you.

I had a very good trip . Great driver and my favorite little guy made my day on the. Us . The drivers little boy made my trip the best . I do feel very badly for the driver as passengers on the bus do not even listen to his announcements regarding to place their pnones in vibrate mode and not using speaker phones so it disturbs others and who wants to hear their conversations and phone fingers again not place in vibrate mode rage mode , loud music playing from their phones . When a driver tells you to have respect for others it falls on deaf ears they do not listen at all to him . Our driver had to tell them twice still they did not listen same for the Vancouver driver . It’s like they do. Not care . This rule in place is for safety etc and for no distractions for the driver as well he has to concentrate on the roads etc . Can signs not be placed on the bus big enough for thrm to see it , small stickers do. Not work , like seatbelts , o alcohol no drugs etc you do have signs but they are no highly visible to see people just do not wear seat belts etc . It was a very nice trip otherwise but the ignorant people aboard not listening to the driver is bad . We also had inter come issues as it was not working properly or the driver speaking to us people being loud and not even listening to his announcements made it awful for us who wanted to hear what he was stating to us .

Bus wasn’t very clean. I do understand it is a bus… but surfaces should be wiped down daily. The ride itself was a bit rough I know you have a schedule to keep but when you’re holding yourself down in your seat..the driver should really consider our safety over a small time delay. At a professional driver myself, being late is better than being hurt or dead anytime. Toilet paper should be an item readily available especially when your given 5 minutes stops… drivers were nice but they seem rushed.

The group on this bus included some that made the trip more annoying for everyone, (didn’t listen to the announcements, had to be reminded about basic etiquette etc) but the driver was good. It’s hard getting on the bus while everyone is on break because you can’t tell where you can sit aside from being able to guess from seeing some stuff on some seats. I think if there was some way to reserve/let you know which seats aren’t in use, that would be helpful.

i travelled from Surrey to Calgary to RedDeer and back again. The buses were on time and clean The drivers were helpful and informative. We had a passenger on one and of the busses that was being really loud while talking on the phone after the driver had asked for all the phones to be on silent as people were sleeping. The bus driver pulled over and talked to the passenger explaining why he needed to text instead. He was very polite well explaining to the passenger why it's important not talking on the phone.
