Bus was an hour late to destination from traffic out of Ottawa and passenger issues in Kingston. Bus was full and seemed to be issues finding sets for everyone as the there was some kind of problem with a seat being very dirty in the back where someone possibly threw up and didn't tell the driver at some point? It would have been impossible for him to know this. Was difficult for the driver to handle as he was the only staff on hand to try to handle this situation and still get moving when already late. Driver was great but the amount of people he was trying to manage on a long weekend alone was nearly impossible for the bus to stay on time. I've rode with Rider many time and this was the first time it was late and really busy with only one driver to handle everything. There is usually two people handling it out of Ottawa.

The cancellation of my original bus was inconvenient. It was helpful to have been rescheduled on the next one. While the ride was comfortable and almost on scheduled time, there was something that I disliked strongly. During several segments of the trip, the driver was texting on his phone. Specially at the beginning of the trip, in Ottawa. It was unnerving to see the driver text with one hand and drive with the other, and constantly switch where he was looking, from the road to his phone. This makes me not want to ride with this company again. Also, the drop off spot in Scarborough was not the one that was specified on the ticket, so that created unnecessary confusion.

I think that your bus drivers are wonderful. Driving and the responsibility that comes with driving a bus is huge and the drivers do a great job. I must comment on the lateness of my bus. It left one hour after it was supposed to. I would like some kind of credit for this delay.

The price was right, but you get what you pay for. Bus was rather aged, completely full (I guess this is a good thing from your viewpoint), the lone washroom was out of service which isn’t ideal on a 5 hour ride. Boarding was a bit disorganized. Nevertheless the driver and all staff were very friendly and professional, and I felt safe travelling so can’t really ask for more over a holiday weekend for $40.00

The service delivered everything it promised. The staff were polite and friendly, the bus was comfortable and we appreciated the free wifi. Due to traffic leaving Ottawa for Thanksgiving, we ran well behind time but nothing there driver could do about that. Would definitely use Rider Express again.

The acceptance process was really easy with just needing to show my ticket and my name, and the drive itself was pretty ok. Even though there was a delay in the bus' arrival to my stop, it still got to the final destination early! Overall a very good trip for a fair price.

It was my first time taking Rider Express and I'm happy that along the route, it doesn't stop at any city to pick up passengers other than just travel from point A to B. I was on board this coach, don't recall the bus number but the bathroom doors needs a lock. The only way to determine in use is that is by the closed door but most of the time people will not knock before entering. At least put a sign saying that 'knock before you enter' if the door is closed.

Good driver, clean bus on time. I use your bus weekly to commute for work. Only issue is the lack of shelter against rain and cold at both the Belleville and Ottawa West stops. No problem in Summer but difficult in Winter. Is it possible to use the bus stop next to Belleville Walmart and in front of Bayshore shopping Centre in Ottawa West.

Great service overall. Was dismayed though by the fact that the bus driver kept the engine idling for the full 20 mins we were stopped in Kingston. I think it should be Rider policy to disallow idling. In certain municipalities you are indeed breaking the law doing so. In this climate emergency, emitting greenhouse gases unnecessarily through excessive idling, while emitting noxious fumes harmful to human health, needs to be banned.

The only 2 issues I had were the bus being late (arriving at around 9:20 for a 9:10 departure). It would not have been so bothersome if there was shelter as it had been raining. The ride was smooth and uneventful and got into Toronto earlier than scheduled, so overall a good experience.

It was a good ride as usual and the driver was polite as usual, but it seems a 10 minute stop has been added when arriving in Madoc at Tim Horton's. I get it - the driver needs a break and I am fine with that even though Madoc is just a few minutes from my final destination of Marmora and it delays me somewhat. However, yesterday we were perfectly on time and arrived in Madoc at 4:27 pm. The driver announced a 10 minute break - again, fine, as it would have still given us time to get to Marmora for scheduled arrival at 4:45 pm. However, a very inconsiderate woman decided to order pizza at Tim Horton's and the driver was kind enough to wait for her and we didn't leave until 4:51 pm - a full 24 minutes after arriving for a "10 minute" break. Unfortunately, without getting into specifics, this brought us to Marmora 15 minutes late, which caused me a considerable amount of discomfort and inconvenience. I think it would be best if the driver makes it very clear that the break is only 10 minutes and that he will not be waiting any longer, so it is advisable not to be ordering food, It seems unfair to inconvenience an entire bus load of people with the thoughtlessness of one passenger.

Excellent service from start to finish as a first time rider ⭐️ I appreciate the organization of the worker, who checked our tickets and maintained the line prior to getting on the coach bus. Our driver was respectful, kind, attentive with clear open communication. I arrived safely and early to my destination. I was pleased with the option to choose my own seats and was able to charge my phone easily. I’m not sure if wifi was available as I’ve used my phone data but I’m hopeful that is a service available by Rider Express. Coach was clean and comfortable. A garbage can was available by the front and someone was kind to collect our garbage at one point. Overall, super positive experience. I look forward to my next ride. Little details matter and this was evident with Rider Express✨

Honestly I seldom share personal feedback but this time my experience at Rider Express worths it! Because it was a shuttle operating during the midnight, I managed to sleep through the whole journey peacefully. I seldom managed to do so on other shuttle couriers. The inclination of the seats works perfect! The cushioning of the seats are comfy enough! The leg room is wide enough! The washroom is not as dirty as expected (from my previous traveling experiences on other couriers). Usually, the WIFI and electrical plug on shuttles won’t work although it claims to be equipped with, on other couriers. But Rider Express gives an exception! Not sure about the WIFI (since I slept through my entire journey), but the electrical plug allows me to charge up so fast! Surprisingly, I can be seated freely without a charge, which I was not restricted to a particular seat number, which was quite a flexible arrangement! By the way, the driver is so polite, kind and nice helping us checking in and out by carrying my luggage. I would recommend Rider Express to others and would book again next time.

I had an overnight ride from Ottawa to Toronto. The driver who took over from Kingston was yawning loudly all way long. I felt very unsafe riding with a driver who did not seem to manage his sleeping hours well. Driving overnight might be dangerous in this case endangering lives of passengers.

Everything went well except that there was one passenger who was speaking loudly on the phone non stop in a foreign language. He did so for about 3 hours. Many passengers were looking at each other unhappy because they couldn't relax or sleep. Finally, I went up to him and told him that I had a migraine and to keep his voice low. Shortly thereafter, the bus driver spoke to him at one of the scheduled stops and told him that what he was doing was not permissible and to keep his phone conversations short. After this, that passenger stopped his non stop chatter and we all had peace! what do people talk about for hours on end anyway!!?!

The ride was absolutely seamless, smooth and we flew through the bits of traffic that we hit. It was a super positive experience. The trip did start with a bit of a delay, however (12 minutes), so it would have been preferable to reduce the set half hour break to maybe 15 or 20 minutes to keep on schedule, as I might have preferred. But the trip was really peaceful and smooth, lots of space, and friendly riders. A lovely time

It’s hard to give a good review on my trip from Ottawa to Toronto. The bus broke down on the 401 going to Toronto. We were stuck there for many hours. What bother me the most was knowing I would not get back to Hamilton until midnight. I’m 74 year old women so it was a little bit scary being in the Toronto Union station that late at night. You just don’ t know what can happen at night when you’re by yourself. I made my connection to Hamilton, it was the last bus of the night.. I will give the bus driver a good review, he was great with everybody on the bus. He apologized many times on the problem with the bus. He couldn’t do any more. He was fantastic. He arranged to have someone from Rider to pick up a few of us and drove us to out destination. He was a very friendly person which help me be ok. He even made sure I got into union station safe and sound. He was a gem. He wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss my connection going to Hamilton bus station. I felt he went above and beyond. I’m sure I will continue with travelling with Rider.. I just won’t travel late in the day. If the bus breaks down , it still will daylight.

The trip was great, bus was clean and modern and the driver was amazing. I appreciated the frequent updates on my trip (it was delayed by 90 minutes). A note for improvement- I saw the bus arrive before the departure and it was clear there was an issue with the wheel. The bus didn't return and I got a notification about a 30 minute delay- I figured it was the wheel, but the notification said "traffic". From then it was 10-20 minute delay updates until it was 90 minutes late. If we knew it would be 90 minutes, we could have gone for shade vs sitting in the high heat. Also those booked with BusBud only got 2 notifications vs my 5- I booked direct.

Pleased with the way an unexpected cancellation of the bus originally booked for was handled by Rider. Receiving a ticket for an alternative option as well as two other option to choose from was effective and smart. Unfortunately the bus arrived late in West Ottawa so we departed with an half hour delay already. However the driver did what was within his power to make up for delays managing other obstacles such as work in the road and a delayed passenger during one of the stop, and he did so gracefully. What could have been a stressful ride was a relatively smooth one. Thank you .

Good evening, I really do enjoy riding with rider express, but since I have ridden with you guys ( 2 plus years now) the bus does too many stops. It used to be Ottawa to Kingston and then straight to Toronto. I also had my bus rescheduled last minute and it caused some issues on my end since I had a scheduled ride for my aunt to pick me up that wasn't too late because my aunts works the next day and now have to Uber. I couldn't take an earlier bus because I was working till 3. I understand things happen but hope that you take my thoughts into considerations for the future. Thank you

Every time the train inconveniences me, I use this bus service. It's been so great! I remember when it was first introduced and how well it developed over the years. By far my favourite bus service and I highly recommend it to everyone I know looking to travel budget friendly. However, please implement rescheduling or being able to cancel your ticket. Unforseen events happen and it isn't convenient to have to miss a bus with no notice or no inability to reschedule for the next available one. But keep up the good work! I promise you, no other bus service compares! I hope this service can continue to grow and have more hours available for travel!
