I missed my bus because I couldn't locate the bus-stop and also didn't find a no. to call, so I sent an e-mail to the "contact me". You can't imagine my joy when within 15 minutes I got a call from Rider Express rep scheduling me to join the next bus at no cost!!! I am so grateful and thankful to you! The ride was smooth, fast and comfortable. The driver was cheerful and kind. This is really a customer-friendly firm, please keep this up! The first three rows should be designated seating for seniors, children and handicapped. Most transit offer this buses, trains, planes. Otherwise ride was okay even though too long a stop in Kingston resulting in missed connection.

Yesterday, October 03, 2025, I took the 2 pm bus from Ottawa to Scarborough. The bus dropped me in the middle of the parking lot, away from the mall. I was not able to recognise where I was and it took one hour for my son to find me-with the help of a stranger who guided him to me. Please ensure we are picked up and dropped off at the same place. This is my first time booking with Rider Express and travelling by bus from Ottawa to Toronto and back. My experience was pretty good overall and although the bus from Ottawa to Toronto was 15 minutes late in arrival, it did not impact our trip much and I expect it may have been due to specific circumstances and not a regular occurrence. However, one thing I would like to flag is the lack of AC in the bus for extended periods of time in the trip. I had to speak with the driver when travelling from Ottawa to Toronto to ask that he keep the AC on because it was getting hot and stuffy in the bus and he told me initially that he didn't want to keep turning it on and off but then obliged for some time. Similarly, on the way back, the AC was not on for parts of the trip and the bus was almost full so we were feeling very uncomfortable as the temperature went up. I would ask that AC on all the time be a standard thing in the warmer/summer months as having no open windows and no proper A/C continuity can deteriorate the quality of air and ventilation in the bus pretty quickly.

As much as the departure from Toronto was very well indicated, that of Ottawa was difficult for me because no visible station and without shelter from the sun and the rain. Delay on the outward and return trips. The seat was not comfortable for such a long journey. Otherwise the driving was excellent in both directions.

I had to change the departure time due to a personal schedule change of my trip from Scarborough to Ottawa, so I called and the lady on the phone is very polite and helpful. She explained me the policy and made the change for me right away, and then she waited until I received the new ticket and confirmed everything is correct. This is not the 1st time I got her on the phone, and every interaction I had with her was a pleasant . I appreciate her help and her kindness and caring on the phone with me. The trip to Ottawa was nice too, my driver is friendly and patient, he provided me all details when I asked him about Ottawa West and Ottawa. The bus is clean and comfortable too. I’m very satisfied with the service and I will ride with RiderExpress again for sure !

I travel from Scarborough to Ottawa West almost every Thursday. This driver is amazing - very supportive and kind. I’ve noticed, however, that there seems to be an issue with the AC on the bus. It’s often extremely cold from Scarborough to Kingston. The AC seems to have no consistent temperature control; it’s either blasting super cold or completely off. Sometimes it’s turned off, and then it’s warmer, but there’s no medium or comfortable setting. Kudos to the driver - he is a great guy. Also, there is a driver name Igor - a great guy and an amazing driver.

I found that my return ride between Ottawa and Toronto was very satisfactory: affordable; reliable, as it kept to schedule and had no breakdowns en route; safe, as the drivers, who were courteous but focused on their job, showed respect for the rules and conditions on the road. The interior of the buses were clean, and the seats were adequately comfortable as they had reclining backs and working foot rests. I cannot comment on the on-board toilet because I did not use it, waiting instead to use facilities as the Kingston stop. I offer one recommendation: a way to politely request passengers who are inclined to have have long and loud person to person or phone conversations to keep them short and low. I can recommend your service to any one without hesitation. Derek.

This was the first time the bus was late, but I understand. I have always appreciated the professionalism of your company and how expeditious you care for things. One thing on this trip was confusing. The location we were picked up at, of which I had previously taken a picture and then sent to my friends for our return, was in the area but not the same location. Which meant they ended up looking for us, and we are out on the sidewalk waiting where we were dropped off, while it started to rain.

Two points..... 1) This segment for me was the second half of a return trip. On both legs, the bus was pretty much on schedule, then, to my surprise (I've used this route with RE before) made a 15 minute stop at Madoc. For the rest of the trip, we were 15 minutes behind schedule. I did like the stop, and am not complaining about it, but I think you'd do well to adjust the schedule to reflect this if it's normal. 2) I do have to say that the lavatory was unacceptably dirty. It had not been heavily used, and my experience was about 90 minutes into this drive. And your bus obviously lives on the Toronto end of this itinerary. My guess is that the lavatory was never cleaned out from the bus's previous trip.

It was good service and a good trip. A couple of minor things: 1) The person in front of me had on quite a bit of perfume, which was bothersome. Perhaps when people book tickets, you can give them a reminder not to overdo perfume, similar to the TTC. 2) I was dropped off in the Loblaws parking lot on College Square instead of the usual place on Navaho Road in Ottawa West. Not a big deal, but we should have been given heads-up so we could alert people coming out to meet the bus.

Bus was clean and on time. I had trouble finding the bus terminal getting off the GO train. I did not like having no arm rests. I felt uncomfortable that the bus driver spent most of the trip talking on his phone, speaker and hands free but it was very distracting for those in the first few rows. It gave me concern about how distracted he might be. The wifi was hit and miss.

Timing and pickup & drop-off points were clear and convenient. While I managed to sleep through the whole bus ride (usually I struggle to sleep), my fiancé (who usually sleeps easily) was not, saying that the first driver would consistently jerk when turning.
