Firstly, a big shout out to both drivers who were excellent drivers and communicators, and both very personable 5/5 for them. The bus was clean and comfortable. I found the fare very expensive, and also disappointed that there was not a seniors discount. It certainly stretched my budget to the max. My other disappointment was not being able to book a preferred seat (window) even though booking early. It was a one-time trip for me being from Australia, and when I got on at Lake Louise all window seats were taken, and nearly all passengers had their bags on the seat next to them.

our bus blew a tire just outside Saskatoon. The driver Paul kept everyone calm, updated on the issue, got the best man ever to fix the tire, helped out as in teamwork tightening the required tire parts, dealt with the Wi Fi going down, kept the air conditioner going, and parked the bus off the highway on a side road that to him was most important of all. I took it as an unexpected travel adventure and will have a great memory of my two months on the road in 2024.

Our son, who has Down syndrome, takes the bus from Kamloops to Revelstoke, and/or Revelstoke to Kamloops when he comes home to visit. We state on his ticket that he has Down syndrome, and prefers to sit near the front for his safety. Every time he (and sometimes his wife who uses a wheelchair) takes the bus, the bus drivers have been very accommodating with making sure that he gets a front row seat. The drivers are super nice and helpful, caring and kind. The bus is easy to track on the ticket, and are usually right on time. Today, we even got a notice on email that the bus was going to be 15 minutes late. We are so impressed with the service, the schedule (which is very convenient), and that the buses are very reliable and on time. We feel very confident in our son taking the bus and getting to his destination safely, comfortably and on time. Thank you so much for providing this essential service for our son so he can visit us independently without needing us to give him a ride. Sincerely, Wenche & Terry

The driver was friendly, and we arrived at our destination promptly. My only concern was the other passengers. Once I arrived on the bus, it was nowhere to sit. There were a few seats that were empty but other passengers had loaded their luggage blocking the seats. I asked the girl to remove her bags and she didn’t want to do it. So she put her large bag under my seat and I had nowhere to put my legs. I got upset and told her she needs to check her bag to make room for my legs because I am a pain passenger. At that point the driver already started driving while I was not even seated. He should’ve intervened and told the passenger to remove her bags. I had nowhere else to sit. I think there needs to be control over other passengers, and the driver should not have left while I was still waiting for my seat to be emptied. It is unsafe to drive while other passengers are standing. That other passenger took about 15 minutes to sort out her darn bags and even when she did, she was taking room and a half of my seat. It was a very uncomfortable ride for me. Again, your driver should be controlling other passengers, refusing to make room for a pain customer to sit down. Empty seats are not for luggage. They are for paying customers.

Through no fault of the drivers there was a delay of several hours on the highway due to an accident, which condensed the rest of the trip and resulted in me being an hour late for a connection and needing to arrange new accommodation at extra cost.

The ride was comfortable and I felt safe, but when I arrived at my destination, they almost left without giving me my luggage. I stood outside while they handed out everyone else's luggage, but they never gave me mine. It wasn't until they started loading up other luggage to leave that I had to ask for mine. Turned out they put it in a different compartment, but for a brief moment I thought they had lost my stuff.

The trip was fine. The driver was courteous and the experience felt safe. There was confusion surrounding passenger disembarkment at one stop. I recommend they when stops occur that the driver announce them. This didn’t happen so passengers unfamiliar with the area didn’t know when to get off.

Dear Rider-Express Team, the trip was a little bit late, but that ist totally fine. The drivers were very friendly even when the micropohne was making horrible noises. What was really anoying though, is that the Wifi was so bad that i could not check in for my flight or purchase a connecting busticket. Revelstoke to Vancouver

The bus was 40 min late and I received a useless notification at the exact time of planned departure indicating it would be 20 min late (it was actually twice as long), the previous stop was 150 km away, so surely they could have sent the notification earlier so we could have waited to arrive at the stop instead of standing outside for an hour waiting. We were nearly 2 hours late arriving at the final destination and the driver didn't apologize or explain why we're were late, or even notify passengers so they could tell their pickup people to plan to be there at 11pm instead of 9pm, yet they swapped out the driver because he was timing out, which seemed disrespectful to the passengers. When he announced our arrival at the Abbotsford airport stop, which was 1.5 hours late, he wished those getting off a nice evening, rather than acknowledging how late they were arriving or apologizing for potential missed flights. Despite being way way behind schedule, the driver continued to stop and give passengers breaks. The bus was completely full, not a single spare seat. People were very noisy having annoying conversations the entire way, I couldn't focus enough to read sure to the noise (and I'm not old!). The bathroom door didn't always close properly.

Bus trip was great on time and the drivers were very polite. I just have one suggestion to make. It would really be nice if the Rider Express sign would be lite up so people could see where to go when people come to pick up. It also would be nice if the office was open until everyone is picked up. It kind of is scary for people to stand in the dark until they are picked up. Just a couple of suggestions. Not complaining at all just so very thankful we have a bus.

I was on the bus that broke down just out of Chase BC during this incident the driver Wayne was very Professional and passionate with the passengers. The bus had stalled out three times as he tried to continue the trip. Each time Wayne was trying to trouble shoot the issue The driver finally found a safe spot on the highway to let the passengers off the bus for some fresh air as the air conditioner was not working. During all the stops he was very informative and apologetic with us even though he was I’m sure under great stress himself. He finally informed us that if he continued driving the bus at a very slow pace he could get us to a truck stop where we were going to meet a rescue bus. He also said this way we’d save time if the rescue bus had to backtrack and we could relax and get coffee ect. He was even able to provide the time it would take us, 4 1/2 minutes per kilometre, (I enjoyed that moment of his calculation). My overall opinion of this trip? Wayne was very professional, kind, apologetic and understanding of his passengers. Wayne handled a stressful situation in a appreciated manner for me that was clearly not under his control Big thank you to Wayne and his support of the Ryder Express technical supporter’s he was on the Phone with. All though I was five hours late getting home I will always use Ryder Express for my monthly trips to work and home.

He stayed calm and was able to get us to a safe spot to meet the other bus. I have travelled by bus many times and Wayne was by far the best driver I have ever had.
